Summer Reading Program 2008

Schedule of Events

June 12 at 3 p.m.
Food in the USA
Sonja Melin from the University of Minnesota Extension Service will speak about food found in the USA.

 

 

July 22 at 5 p.m.
Food around the World
Sonja Melin from the University of Minnesota Extension Service will speak about food found around the world.

August 5 at 5 p.m.
Storytime and Wrap-up Party
Prizes and cookies will be served.

 

 

These programs are free and a part of  the "Look What's Cookin' at your library" 2008 Minnesota Summer Reading Program. This cooking themed reading program encourages children to read over the summer. Studies show that students who don’t read over the summer are less prepared for school success in the fall. The summer reading program at Halstad LINK Site makes summer reading more fun with special programs, good books, and reading incentives.
